Join ArtCenter’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for an LGBTQ+ Ally Workshop hosted via Zoom on Monday, April 13 from 1 – 3:30 pm and on Tuesday, April 14 from 9 am – 12 pm, facilitated by Ohio State University Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Instructor and PhD Candidate, Sai Isoke.
We’ll delve into topics like, “What is ‘Safe Space’ training in today’s context? How is this relevant to faculty and staff for the ArtCenter community? How does safe space work with distance learning during quarantine (ways to hold space for your students that might be currently living in less safe spaces due to quarantine changes),” pronouns, respecting boundaries, questions to ask/questions to not ask students, etc. At the end of each session there will be opportunities for q&a and best practice sharing and you’ll leave with ideas for implementing safe spaces into the curriculum and campus culture.
Monday, April 13th from 1 – 3:30 pm or
Tuesday, April 14th from 9 am – 12 pm
Both sessions will be identical.
The Zoom links will be emailed to guests, based on registration. Please register by 4 pm on Friday, April 10.
