In commemoration of the 90th Anniversary of ArtCenter College of Design and Black History Month, The Center for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Department is hosting/curating a special gallery show to honor the impactful achievements and celebrate the identity of (approx.) 300 Black Alumni of the Southern California institution. The group exhibition titled 90/300 explores themes of representation and identity through the contextual lens of cultural impact and influence.
The 90/300 Exhibition will be a visual marker and visceral experience in measurement of that impact. 90/300 will showcase physical work of pioneering commercial photographer Barbara DuMetz (BFA 73 Photography & Imaging) as well as a special curation by acclaimed contemporary artist Devin Troy Strothers (BFA 09 Illustration). In addition, a multi-media installation will highlight the work and identity of dozens of Alumni from across the globe. The black experience can be expressed in an infinite amount of ways.
Join us for the 90/300 gallery opening reception. All are
welcome and encouraged to attend at ArtCenter DTLA.
