The City of Los Angeles is hiring for a Full-Time Photographer Position.

REQUIREMENT(S)/MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)

Three years of full-time paid experience in black and white and/or color still photography or the video camera photography field. A Bachelor's degree in Photography from an accredited four-year college or university may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.

 

Photo Editor Position for JW Pictures INC

JW Pictures is looking for a photo editor and all around digital post-production wiz. Ideal candidate works magic using Photoshop and Lightroom to batch process, color correct, composite and retouch images for press, publication and catalogue raisonnés. This is a part-time position that will supplement the work of our in-house photo editor. Hours range between 20-40 hours per week depending on current projects. There is high potential for this to become a full-time position.

Each term, the number of open positions for Orientation Leaders is reliant on the perspective incoming class (size and admitting departments). Positions for FA19 Orientation are available for ALL undergraduate students in ALL departments. We will hire 60 undergraduate student leaders!

  • Training: Break Week 2, Thursday 8/29/19 @ 9am-4pm in Faculty Dining Room, Hillside  

  • Orientation: Break Week 3, Tuesday 9/3/19-Friday 9/6/19, varied shifts/varied locations

Photo & Motion Producer Position for Starz

Starz is seeking a Photo & Motion Producer to join their Production Services team. This role will be responsible for unit photography on Starz Original Series. Responsibilities include assigning photographers, reading scripts, editing images, overseeing retouching and fulfilling photo requests from internal and external partners. The Producer will communicate to show production crews in organizing unit days, special shoots, BTS, EPK and marketing galleries. In addition to overseeing stills, the Producer will also help produce AV assets requested by various departments.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is seeking a highly motivated, well-organized, and professional individual to fill a Photographer II vacancy in the Bureau of Investigation, Fraud and Corruption Division.  This position processes and handles a wide variety of specialized photographic work (e.g., photomicrography, macrophotography, underwater and aerial photography, infrared and ultraviolet photography, criminal surveillance photography, video recording, and computer-generated photographic images) utilizing advanced digital imaging techniques and professional photography equipment.  The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and minor repair of photographic equipment.

Responsibilities

Required skills: Photography/Non-linear editing/Transmission control operator/live truck operator. 

Responsible for providing editing and visual coverage of news events in a fair, unbiased and accurate manner. Photographs news events, both live and on tape, for news programs.  Edits material to match script prepared by reporter, producer or associate producer using on-location facilities or any other location required. Works with reporter to get complete stories and makes suggestions on how a story should be produced.  Keep assigned equipment and/or vehicle in good working condition and files all required paperwork, as deadlines require.  Be able to set-up remotes to allow transmission of pictures or live from-the-scene reports back to the station.  Monitors scanners in vehicles from news stories. Must be proficient  in technical areas such as Master Control and other forms of transmission  areas.
