This is a part-time position with room to genuinely define your role as our Official Photographer with the flexibility to pursue other creative interests.

A successful on-staff photographer is familiar with different techniques, is highly proficient with photo/video editing software, and a deep drive to create stunning shots.

Under the direction of the Business Director, the Photographer will perform all aspects of studio and onsite photography for catalogues and the website. The ideal candidate will have prior studio photography experience in a production environment; have an eye for color and a solid understanding of color theory in both the digital and print environment.

Preform post-process Photoshop work & color corrections.  Manage files and upload images to the company database.  Maintain studio equipment. Create and manage photo lists.  Move property to and from set as needed. Adhere to deadlines and alert supervisor if deadlines cannot be met.

The Annenberg Space for Photography has partnered with Photoville to create Gallery View: A Virtual Photography Portfolio Review! This program pairs professional and emerging photographers with top photo editors, curators, and world-renowned photographers for a special one-on-one review. 

Professional, emerging, and student photographers are able to submit their portfolio to be selected for review by two established professionals, including world-renowned photographers Ami Vitale and John Moore, curators Anne Wilkes Tucker, Eve Schillo (LACMA), photo editors Brent Lewis (New York Times), and other experts, including Annenberg Space for Photography Director Katie Hollander. Categories for submission include editorial, fashion, music, journalism, landscape, portraiture, and conceptual. The reviews for 100 selected photographers will take place over five weeks, starting May 22.

Submission is free; once selected, photographers will be required to pay a $25 fee to secure their place. Student photographers’ fee will be waived.

What ideas do you want to convey around the themes of conservation, biodiversity and sustainability of the natural world? Our goal is to encourage young photographers (aged 18–25) with fresh approaches to this topic to present their perspectives in photographs and media.

BigPicture is offering two $2,500 grants and mentorships awarded in July 2020. Works produced under the grants may be displayed at the Academy in the 2021 BigPicture Natural World Photography Exhibit.

At Plums Guide, imagery is one of our most important and differentiating assets, so we’re kind of obsessive about it (in a good way!). 

In this role you can expect to: 

  • Join an extensive training session, upskilling you on the Plum Guide brand and familiarizing you with our photography guidelines.

  • Visit the most beautiful homes in your area and meet their owners.

  • Shoot & style homes according to our photography guidelines. Shoots take between 2 and 4 hours (depending on the efficiency of the photographer and size of the home).  

  • Edit, re-touch and format images to meet the requirements in our guidelines. Post-production takes between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours (depending on the speed of the photographer and size of the home). 

  • Be an ambassador of the Plum brand, and convey our passion for great design & high quality service to prospective Plum Guide hosts.

The Pinays Rising Scholarship was created to promote the continuation of higher education while excelling in the areas of arts (visual, performance/music, conceptual, etc.) and/or community service and activism.

This educational scholarship program is open to all self-identified Pinays/x who will be attending an institution of higher learning, full time, for the Fall 2020 semester. Awardees will receive $500 USD each for financial aid in the upcoming school year!

We are looking for someone who has experience with videography, audio recording, and photography. You are also used to balancing multiple priorities as well as regularly communicating and following up with stakeholders. You have a wide variety of knowledge and skills as well as the ability to take brand direction. 

As the Videographer and Photographer, you are reliable, great at coordination and following up on tasks as needed, resourceful, and an excellent communicator. This position will require variety with content for both video and photo shoots. We are looking for someone who is experienced and knowledgeable in setting up interview-style video shoots. This person has a keen eye and aesthetic that matches our brand and is able to take brand direction. 

 

Call for Submission - Women Photograph 2020 Grants & Scholarship

Women Photograph is excited to announce our 2020 project grants and a new scholarship for women & non-binary photographers.

Grants: Five grants are available, one of which will be earmarked for a non-binary or transgender photographer. These $5,000 grants will support photography projects — either new or in-progress — from visual journalists working in a documentary capacity.

Scholarship: Women Photograph has partnered with Getty Images to award a $10,000 scholarship to a student focused on photojournalism.
This scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students attending accredited colleges and universities worldwide. It is not required that students be majoring in photojournalism or photography. The scholarship is also open to people pursuing photographic education outside the university setting, such as vocational schools, workshops and other extended educational courses. Determination of eligibility will be at the discretion of Women Photograph and Getty Images.

Entry Deadline is May 15th, 2020
