Welcome to our new website for Photography & Imaging at ArtCenter College of Design. The college has an 80-year history of remarkably talented alumni working in every field of art and design, all over the world.

Photography was one of ArtCenter’s first established departments and continues to be seen as a critical area of study that adds a dimension and perspective to all the other departmental curriculums and specializations. Our compact department is designed to be the right size for our learning environment, configured to achieve a quality of excellence for every student and agile enough to address the almost constant conceptual and technical changes in our medium.

I am Dennis Keeley, the Department Chair, and it is my pleasure to have a space to share with people that have an interest in education, photography, image-making, careers, technology, media and culture, history and the future. This site will be our department’s messaging site to share schedules, special events, student work, and resources. I look forward to having this site reflect the diversity of contemporary dialogues about the intentions, reflections and expectations of teachers, students and image-makers from many points of view.
