March of Dimes has an annual event called March for Babies coming up in Los Angeles on April 27th from 6:30am – 11:30am at Grand Park. This event is a 5k walk and festival to bring awareness to the March of Dimes’ mission of fighting for the health of all moms and babies. The event is a fun day full of activities and a walk that bring together families, individuals, and companies impacted by premature birth, birth defects, and infant loss.

For both of these events we are looking for skilled photographers who can help us capture these moments. We would love to have approximately 3 photographers for the March for Babies event on April 27th and 1-2 photographers for the kickoff on January 17th. We ask that we are sent the photos from both of these events with a turnaround of 1-3 days. However, the photographer can absolutely keep photos to use for their portfolio.

Please email Cassandra Dawson at CDawson@marchofdimes.org for more information on volunteering

Art and design fostering environmental responsibility & commitment to social good.

BACKGROUND

The ability of natural and man-made systems to sustain themselves and flourish is the great challenge of our time. Art and design sit at the nexus of these systems and create the connections that give us shelter, mobility, communication, comfort, and quality of life. How artists and designers make those connections—between materials and functions, cultures and technology, ecosystems and commerce, well-being and stewardship—is the key to our shared future.
