Overview
We are seeking an incredible leader in the photo editing/retouching field to lead a world-class group of photo editors and retouchers in New York. This is an exciting new leadership role in the CBS Network Photo Publicity Department reporting to the Head of Photography. As the head of our Photo Services team, you will scale our photo editing and retouching operations. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with your photo publicist teammates and staff photographers to ensure images are edited and retouched to the highest standards. You will also oversee the digital asset management team and improve our photo operations on both coasts.
Responsibilities
Hire and manage photo editors, retouchers, and digital asset managers in NY.
Manage photo editing process that includes editing, retouching, conducting talent approvals, distributing images to various teams, and managing image storage
Streamline bi-coastal photo operations by tracking budget, gathering metrics, and overseeing DAM systems
Ensure that our retouching work is held to the highest standards daily, as well as train team in the latest retouching tools and techniques
Work closely with VP, Photo Publicity to assign editors and retouchers to shows and special events
Maintain show assignment calendar in conjunction with Marketing team
Manage 3rd party retouching by creating work orders, providing guidance/feedback to the vendor
Create photo analytics reports to share across the organization
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of experience managing photo editors
Expert-level creative retouching skills required
Additional Qualifications
High level understanding of quality output in terms of composition, color, and retouching
Experience with editing platforms such as Digital Fusion and Photo Mechanic, as well as DAM systems
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites and Microsoft Office
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail, organized, and savvy with time management
Proven ability to manage high volumes of work. Demonstrated prioritization, planning and task delegation under tight deadlines
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
